We've Arrived!

Well actually, we arrived last week. But let's just say, I've been very busy unpacking, exploring, and resting and as a result my blog fell a little by the wayside.

I hate to admit to you that even this post won't be a full update. I'm exhausted and still adjusting to the time change (2 hours earlier has really thrown me and Peyton for a loop!)

What I do want to tell you is that it's paradise down here. Palm trees, cactus, SUN, lemon trees, fresh grapefruit, oranges, red dirt, WARMTH, open windows, swimming pools... I'm loving it!

I wore a skirt today. A short skirt. The kind you only wear in summer. It's January. It felt amazing.

I have so much to tell all of you about my experience so far, and about the things the Lord is teaching me in the midst of yet another transition. However, there are things that war for my attention... things a bit more important than blogging. Peyton has had a difficult time adjusting... the time change has been a challenge to her schedule and all the new surroundings has her a bit off-balance. I'm taking some time to pay her a lot of extra attention and give her MUCH needed extra love during this time. That means a little less "me time" and a LOT more rocking, kissing, playing, feeding and loving.

But what are mommies for?

I promise I'll sit down one of these days and write you a good long post telling you all the things that are on my heart here. But for now, know that I am safe, happy, warm and a little sun kissed ;)

Love to you all!

So glad you made it...and maybe a little jealous that you are warm while I still see snow! =) Also, I have been meaning to write you back...I love your website and what God is calling you guys to do!! When reading your e-mail and your story on your website it just resonated with me so much how God is calling you to do great things for Him!! And, yes Ria is my sister-in-law. She married my little Brother.

Glad you and Peyton had a good trip and are reunited with Bryan.

Little jealous that it's warm there and we are supposed to get 2 snow storms this week, which means NYers freak out and clean out the bread aisle in the store, while I luagh.

Can't wait to here what God is doing in all of your lives.

Love,

Jess

I was thinking about you today, wondering if you'd made it alright. You are such a loving mother and a real example to me of what a mother's heart should be like. Thanks Claire! You're in my prayers.
