LIFE...the mundane and the miraculous.

I promised myself I would make a concentrated effort to post more regularly. So here I am. Life here is still a daily roller coaster of excitement/homesickness. I guess a see-saw would be a great illustration (lol) but I'm still taking it a day at a time.

Baby #2 is growing very healthily. I am officially huge. Can't believe how quickly it happened this time around! It seems like every day I'm bigger.... I know I've said that before... but I really am dumbfounded at my rapidly growing profile. I'm just beginning to feel her kicks and flutters. Never ceases to amaze and confound me. I love the comforting feeling of the thriving little life inside my womb. Serves as a reminder that there is a very big God in Heaven who is capable of so much more than I.

This isn't my baby... I do have an ultrasound picture, but I can't share it with you because I don't have access to a scanner here. But this is the basic gist of what she looks like this week. Amazing, isn't it? Can you believe she only weighs between 2-3 ounces, and is only like 3 inches long... but still looks that much like a real baby????? Incredible.

I don't know how any woman could experience the miracle of pregnancy and not be a wholehearted believer in the absolute, unquestionable sanctity of life.

Alright, well the other life I helped bring into this world is awake from her nap, so I must be off ;) Much love to you all, and I really will make a wholehearted attempt at posting more consistently.

Hope you all had a Happy Fourth!!! We missed America on our favorite holiday!!! I grilled some burgers and mixed up some homemade lemonade in honor of the day ;)

Hi Claire,

Praying for you tonight.
I say the exact same thing every time I am pregnant, that I don't know how anyone could have life inside them and not believe in God. =)

hugs!
