Thankful Thursday

Here's Peyton a couple of weeks ago pointing at the ducks on the canal outside our house. I know the view doesn't look much like Africa... and that's because Cape Town just doesn't. But I promise, we're here ;)

Our days have been slow lately, enjoying the quiet things like coloring, dancing, laughing and building blocks. Bryan has been busy with ministry every day, and I have been busy with my own ministry... raising a young woman who daily needs my love, devotion and heart.

I'm thankful to be a Mommy to my TWO beautiful daughters.
I'm thankful to be a wife to a godly husband and missionary.
I'm thankful to be in South Africa.
I'm thankful for sunshine.
I'm thankful for Skype that enables me to still talk to my family back home.
I'm thankful for good friends and the fellowship of Christians all over the world.

I'm thankful for life and the God who gave it to me.

What are you thankful for today?

Like you, I'm thankful for christian fellowship all over the world!!!! Your ministry is SOOO important! For us mommies, sometimes Colossians 3:23 must be interpreted as "whatsoever you do, color heartily with your little ones, (color as if your work will be framed and mounted in the hallowed halls of the Lord God Almighty's palace), as unto the Lord, not unto men." I'm pretty sure God is okay with my encouraging you with a rendering of His Word in such a way...I've used many of the seemingly "mundane" works of a mommy in conjunction with this scripture and through the years, I've come to realize what a ministry it is...I understand your struggle :)

My college-age son has thanked me for having been a stay at home mom for him throughout his life!
