2011 CONFESSION: I have a crush on my Personal Trainer....

It's quite shameful really. But I mean, c'mon. Can you blame me???

Look at those muscles. Yes, please.

 Mmm, Mmm.

haha, don't mess with him!

Okay, seriously though. I asked Bryan to be my personal trainer. A little 2011 New Year's Resolution to lose this baby weight. Not gonna lie, I'm a good 26 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight.... and a much longer way from the toned  muscle look I'm hoping for!!! Now, I'm not one to get too obsessed with body image. Honestly, we're all gonna die one day and who's gonna care how much we weigh when we do? Are you with me?! But, I do want to be healthy. And honestly, since having Britany, I have an even higher motivation than ever to achieve healthiness.

So, last night, (while watching an episode of the greatest motivator of all time--the Biggest Loser!) I asked Bryan to appoint himself my personal trainer. He just looked at me and said, "Uh, are you sure?" "Uh of course" I said. (I exude confidence!) Well, now I know why he asked if I was sure.

HE KICKED MY BUTT! I was literally unable to move after wards. I don't even totally remember everything he made me do... but all I know is I feel like little more than a jelly fish today....

Look, my husband is in shape. He always has been. He's just one of those guys (and no, I'm not just being biased.. .I swear!) He can step onto the playing field of ANY sport (I mean, any!) and just dominate. He's just plain born with athleticism. I knew he could work out (and hard) but I had no idea.... honestly, at this rate... he'll have me back to pre-preggo weight in no time!!

One of the best parts, is that, in all honesty, there is no one on this earth who I am more competitive with than Bryan. Board games, excercise, sports, walking speed, you name it! I just can't stand to have him beat me. That's why working out with him is a great choice... I hate to be puffing before he is. Needless to say, that might be why I'm so dead today... I probably way overdid it as a result of my blind competitiveness...

But either way.

I promise you all... I will be in Jillian Michaels shape in no time.

That's really cool Claire. I wish my husband liked to exercise. I ran almost every day at BCOM but I now I can't get away from the baby. So I resort to floor exercises. But breastfeeding has been the best weight loss technique for me. I've reached my wedding-weight within four months. It can be done!!! I'm so proud of you, Claire.

ahahaha this sounds just like me...I am soooo competitive with Stephen :) So my new years resolution is to run a 5k. I have never run before. Ever. Unless I am chased. So I started the couch potato to 5k program this week and day 1 almost killed me. So I guess I need to create my own program called "brownieholic to couch potato" to get me up to par...

And on a related note, what do you do when your muffin top hangs over the top of your yoga pants?? Gonna have to find some new workout clothes I guess...

That is so awesome! Ryan and I both have goals to lose weight; we're competing for BIG prizes, too! You're probably aware of this, but be careful how hard you push yourself when nursing so you're milk isn't affected. You have an out if Bryan pushes you too hard - haha! - and your muscles are still jelly from the last workout :) Miss you guys & hope we can see you whenever you return to MN!
