The Highchair

Because of our preparations for South Africa, Bryan and I are being extra careful about how and where we spend our money. However, as Peyton grows, there are some definite new needs being presented. Yesterday I sat down and listed the things that Peyton is going to be needing as she grows. On the top of that list, was a highchair. Peyton has begun eating solid foods and we've been feeding her in her excer-saucer. It's been workable... but will become more and more difficult the bigger she gets (and the messier feeding times become!)

Well, today... my dad went to the airport to drop off Leigh and Andy and came home with....

That's right! A highchair!!! He found it at the end of someone's driveway with a "FREE" sign on it! It needed a little TLC, but after a good scrubbing, some bleach and alot of Lysol... it was sparkly and beautiful! I feel so overwhelmed by God's goodness and His desire to meet even our most trivial needs.

There is even a great tray that came with it as well (which I just realized I didn't get in the pictures!) but it's perfect. A high chair just like this one at Once Upon a Child (the second-hand baby store) is over $100! Can you believe God blessed us with a free one? He is SO gracious!

Oh...and Peyton LOVED having her dinner with the family tonight in her very own chair!!!

I can't believe that your dad found it. God has really been taking care of us. I love you. Your blog is looking really good. Good use of pics.

Praise God. Yeah we've been using Maddie's carseat. Look how big she's getting. Does her hair have some red in it?

It does look that way in these pictures! To be honest, in real life, it looks all blonde to me. But maybe there's some red hiding in there somewhere ;) Bryan's mom has red hair, so we'll see!!
