Love...

Unfortunately, I can't give credit where it's due, because I don't know who said this.... but I absolutely love this quote. "Love is friendship on fire." I love just wrapping my mind around that thought... Someone who you click with so well.... someone who you have a great friendship with... the kind of person who you can get lost in conversation with... who you can enjoy just hanging out with... and then there is this beautiful igniting that happens.... this burning of both your hearts and the desire to have more than just friendship with one another.. your friendship is lit on fire, and you fall passionately in love....

I'm so thankful for my husband and our friendship on fire! We're going on 3 years of marriage (in a few more months!) and I'm still as passionately in love with him as I was years ago when that fire was lit inside my heart, and I saw my friend as something more.... as the piece my heart was missing.

It's not our anniversary or anything, but today I just want to recognize my husband, just because.

Tonight I prayed over Peyton as I rocked her to sleep... and I prayed for her future husband. I realized as I was praying for him to have certain qualities, that all I really want for her is to have a husband like her daddy... because I know that a man like that will love with everything he has and will treat her like the princess she is. I am blessed beyond belief everyday by my hubby. I don't deserve his love, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I'm so happy he's the man I'll raise my babies with... the one I'll grow old with. We have so many happy years ahead of us... and the God who brought us together is the One we thank for them all.
