I'm 11 weeks, 6 days pregnant.
Up at 3 am feeling ready to toss the contents of my stomach.
This child decided morning sickness was too ordinary. Night sickness sounded more his/her style.
Honestly, I'm thankful. Being sick in the mornings when trying to feed 2 kids breakfast would've been rough.
But sleepless nights are rough too.
Motherhood isn't easy.
But I didn't sign up for easy.
I signed up for love.
And I got it.
Three times over.
I can't wait to hold this child in my arms!
And while this is pregnancy #3, and I feel I'm more content in waiting the pregnancy out than I was with say, my first....
I don't think you ever lose the excitement of meeting this little life inside you for the first time.
No matter if it's baby #3 or baby #13.
Because it's a life.
A little life that resembles you and the other person you love the most.
A little life that will bring you joy, sorrow, laughter and exhaustion.
A little life that will bring glory to God, evidenced by the miracle of it's existence.
Giving life is a precious gift that I hope I'll never take lightly.
Even at 3 am with a bucket by my bed.

Hope the morning sickness passes fast for you! I'm almost 16 weeks and haven't tossed my cookies for about 3 weeks now. It is the most awful part of pregnancy in my opinion. I actually lost about 12 pounds too, which is crazy but at least it means I can gain it all back and not feel bad about it! Haha.
Praying over your new little life!
I'm sorry you're not feeling so hot! I have my good days and bad days for sure.
SOOO, last night I had a dream (gotta love pregnancy dreams!) that you and I had to hike this mountain and give birth at the top. Oh my word. It was pretty funny now that I think about it, but I was little miffed in the dream because somehow Bryan got to go with you, but Jamie didn't get to go with me. I totally delivered my own baby. Super.Woman. No?! Totally. Haha. BUT ANYWAYS, we actually both had girls in the dream, and I completely fell in love with this baby during the dream. I woke up SO ready to meet him/her. I had forgotten how wonderful a newborn feels in your arms!
So yes, let's hope there isn't any mountain climbing in our future, but I can't wait for our babies to arrive!!
Aw, I love your joy for it all even with all the nastiness you're having right now. I hope it goes away soon so you can enjoy it more and love on your cute little kiddies!! :)

well writen!!
I felt the same way... that I was able to wait out the 3rd pregnancy, but towards the end I was ready to meet my 3rd little princess!
Hope you feel better soon!
You are inspirational friend and I love your attitude and perspective. Being that sick cannot be fun, I'm praying the morning sickness resides and that you can enjoy the rest of your pregnancy to the fullest.
You are loved!
So true! There is sacrifice, but nothing is more worth it than being a mama!
I am catching up with everything and I just want to say you are having a boy. I will be shocked if it's a girl. LOL! I was so terribly sick with my son. all 9 months. (don't mean to give you bad news)
But...I really do believe this is a boy. Will you be finding out?
You are soooo precious, Claire! Love this!!
